Aluminium is virtually 100% recyclable and does not age in use. A high proportion of the aluminium used in our products is from recycled material.
Aluminium windows help bring thermal efficiency to a building, reducing life cycle costs, offering longevity and, being largely recyclable, can be regarded as environmentally sustainable. Thermal efficiency is achieved using Polymide Insulation and can be manufactured into any window combination.
The essential raw materials of PVCu are salt and oil and its production uses low energy consumption. PVCu requires little maintenance as it does not require surface coatings such as stains or paints, the application of which adds to the cost of the whole life of the product.
PVCu mechanical recycling is in operation throughout Europe turning used PVCu into products such as pipes, ducting, flooring and window profiles.
The composite product has been designed so that once its useful life has been reached it is easy to deconstruct enabling cost effective recycling with the minimum of energy use.
Aluminium does not age and is virtually 100% recyclable. A high proportion of the aluminium used in these products is from recycled material.
Depending on the timber specified, it can be sourced from all parts of the world where a sustainable policy for renewal is in place. FSC accreditation is available. Drayton Windows only uses timber sourced from sustainable forests and only uses recycled materials, where quality is not compromised, and water based timber treatments that last for many years without further application.
