Hauser Forum, Cambridge

The Hauser Forum, Cambridge was another successful project for Drayton Windows. With extensive use of Kawneer Products throughout the scheme ran on programme and on budget.

Particular points of interest are the cantilevered canteen area at the rear which was finished with silicone glazed curtain walling for a maximum glass effect. The canteen also featured glass to glass corners with stepped sealed units and silicone bonding to create frameless corners.

This detail required extra attention as the canteen area is sitting on steel beams over the water feature. The added effect of this is that the movement of the structure had to be calculated to ensure the glazing would remain safely and securely within the framing.
